Half a day of AI with Osteopathy Central Otago

Osteopathy Central Otago is an osteopath clinic treating patients in Cromwell and Alexandra, and one of the four practitioners based at Pure Senses at Mount Pisa. On 12 October we spent a half day with the clinic on AI, the same session that left Pure Senses taking sauna bookings every day.

A clinic has the same problem as a spa: patients look for help online, often while they are in pain, and whether they book depends on finding a page that answers their question and a booking button that works.

What we did in half a day

  • Installed Claude Code on the clinic's own computer, so the setup stays with the clinic.
  • Rewrote the website for search. A page for each thing people look for help with: sciatica, back pain, sports injuries and low level laser therapy, each written for Cromwell and Alexandra, with page titles and business schema to match.
  • Set up the online bookings in Splose, the clinic's booking and practice system, with confirmations and reminders that send themselves, and every Book button on the site going straight to it.
  • Automated the admin that was being done by hand around the appointments.

Why the website came first

Plenty of people do not search for an osteopath at all. They search for the thing that hurts. Someone with sciatica in Cromwell is more likely to type "sciatica treatment Cromwell" than the name of a clinic, so the site now has a page that answers that search directly and ends at a booking.

The same goes for Google itself. The site now tells search engines, in structured data, that this is a medical business in Cromwell and Alexandra and where the online bookings live, so Google can show it properly.

Results

It is too early for numbers. Pure Senses saw daily sauna bookings within a week, and we will update this post when the clinic's first weeks are in.

The same session for your business

Both sessions followed the same shape: Claude Code installed on the owner's computer, then straight at the jobs costing bookings and time, in the systems the business already uses. Pure Senses runs Acuity; this clinic runs Splose. The tools fit around the business, not the other way round.

We offer this as AI business automation across Queenstown and Central Otago. If you would rather learn to drive it yourself, our sister business CamerAcademy teaches it as AI for business training.
