Our own channel, made like client work
Tuned In Trip is Dave and Cati's van life channel. It launched in December 2025 and follows their travels around New Zealand. It is a personal project, but we produce it exactly as we would for a paying client, and inside 90 days it had passed 10,000 subscribers.
Standing out in a crowded niche
There is no shortage of van life videos. Most are filmed on a phone and lightly edited. We bet that the difference would be production: cinematic pictures, a real story in every episode, a proper grade and clean sound.
- Sony FX30 with cinema lenses
- Dedicated audio capture rather than camera microphones
- A colour grade on every episode
- A planned story arc for each upload
- A consistent approach to titles and thumbnails
- Vertical cuts for Instagram Reels and TikTok from every episode

What came of it
Beyond the subscriber count, the channel has kept to a weekly release schedule, gets strong engagement in comments and shares, and now draws brand partnership enquiries. It is the clearest demonstration we have of what consistent, well-made content does for an audience.
Brands and tourism operators wanting to reach travellers in New Zealand and Australia can talk to us about the channel, and if you want to build an audience of your own, see social media video or get in touch.
